Although not as famous as other South African destinations, there is plenty to do in Johannesburg and nearby Pretoria. The old city is a multi-cultural mixture of traditional medicine shops, Chinese restaurants, taxi ranks and ultra modern skyscrapers. There are excellent museums, art galleries and organised tours of historical and political interest. The shopping is Southern Africa’s best and the many restaurants cater for all tastes. The nearby township of Soweto is Johannesburg’s most popular tourist attraction.

Talk to your doctor about which malaria medication you should take.
Our safari vehicles are the best in their class – custom Land Cruisers designed to provide ample room for you and your gear, with excellent visibility with a driver and a so called “Tracker” upfront. Game drive vehicles have a bucket seat mounted on the front of the car for the tracker. This allows the tracker to read the roads for wildlife tracks or droppings in order to find animals quicker. These safari vehicles are very different from vehicles in Kenya as in that they ingeniously "tiered," and each boasting three rows of seating for two people, creating a personalized setting for eight passengers. To enhance your comfort, we only allow four photographers per vehicle.
Please note that Sabi Sabi is situated within a malaria area. It is recommended that guests consult their physician/travel clinic regarding easily administered malaria prophylaxis before embarking on any safari travel to South Africa. Always stick to bottled water and wear sunscreen.
